My boiler has no heating or hot water – what should I check first?
Check the boiler has power, the pressure gauge reads around 1–1.5 bar, the gas supply is on (try the hob if you have one) and, in freezing weather, that the condensate pipe outside is not frozen. If it still will not work, call us.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Do not use electrical switches or naked flames, open doors and windows, turn off the gas at the meter if you can, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. Once it is safe, we can carry out any repairs.
